First thing when you are starting to feel sick, think about taking Echinacea.
This wonder herb will help your body to fight the germs and support your immune system.
Research shows it increases the number of white blood cells, which fight infections.
You can take Echinacea in many formats – tablets/ capsules/ syrup/ lozenges/ hot drink.

Make a tea with few Sage leaves, Thyme, lemon and honey. This is an excellent homemade remedy for a sore throat and coughing.
Sage (Salvia officinalis) is well known for its astringent, antiseptic and antibacterial qualities.
Manuka Honey from New-Zealand is famous thanks to its healing properties.
Medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the world’s oldest medical literature and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property as well as wound-healing activity.
The most important active components of Manuka honey are Hydrogen peroxide and Methylglyoxal (MGO).
As much the MGO is higher the honey is stronger.
It has antiviral and antibacterial effects, the best is starting eating a teaspoon, just when you are starting to feel a cold or a sore throat.
You can also use the regular honey but always prefer the unheated (raw), local and organic options.
Eucalyptus essential oil is highly effective for treating respiratory problems.
Using eucalyptus oil can help to open the airways and breath easily when your nose is stuffed.
If you are feeling that it is hard to breathe diffuse few drops of eucalyptus oil in essential oils diffuser
or in your bath (dilute first with 1 tbsp of sweet almond as a carrier oil).
Another technique is to make an inhalation bath (be careful while doing this!), you can make a facial steam bath by pouring 3 cups of boiling water into a bowl and adding 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, cover your head with a towel and inhale deeply for few minutes.
