How to make your own deodorant?
An easy, quick guide to how to make your own deodorant.
Using a natural deodorant is a great way to support one of your body natural detox mechanism- the sweat.
Natural deodorant is not preventing sweat but also not blocking your sweat glands, it does prevent completely odour of the sweat, helping you to feel fresh during the day!
There are many different options when using a natural deodorant, this is a creamy, natural and clean deodorant recipe with soda bicarbonate.
If you are sensitive to soda bicarbonate, look for natural alum base deodorant, another great natural option.
Make Your Own Deodorant
Easy recipe to create deodorant at home with natural ingredients
- 25 g coconut oil
- 25 g cocoa butter or shea butter
- 25 g sodium bicarbonate known as baking soda
- 25 g arrowroot powder or cornflour
- 15 drops tea tree essential oil
- 8 drops lavender essential oil
- 8 drops orange essential oil
- 1 glass jar with a lid medium size, 100 ml
Sterilize your glass jar- with boiling water/ in the oven and then spray with alcohol and wipe clean.
Melt the coconut oil and cocoa butter in a bain-marie (a glass bowl over a saucepan filled with water).
Combine together the powders in your deodorant sterilized glass jar.
Add the oils to the powders and mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Then, add the essential oils.
Let the deodorant to cool for a few hours and label your creation (date, name, ingredients, expiry date).
Your deodorant is ready!! Use up to 3 months.
